While the hotel has its charm and spacious rooms, the location felt a bit sketchy and unsettling at times. The service was helpful, but the dining options were quite limited. Overall, it’s a mixed bag where you might enjoy the colonial ambiance, but the surroundings may leave you on edge.

Rooms

The rooms were large and airy, but mine had a slightly musty smell and overlooked a lobby area.
Service
6.0
The service was decent, but the staff spoke little English, which made communication a bit tricky.

The immediate surroundings felt a bit unsafe, especially at night, which is a significant downside.

Breakfast was simple and somewhat monotonous, but it was cooked well with good quality ingredients.

The hotel features a charming internal courtyard, though it lacks some modern amenities like a lift, which could be inconvenient.

5.2/10

Despite its charming appearance, the hotel is located in a questionable area that gave me pause as a lone traveler. The rooms are decent but can feel worn down, and my experience with the staff didn’t quite meet my expectations, especially since communication can be a challenge. On the brighter side, it's close to local attractions and has a quaint atmosphere, making it suitable for short stays on a budget.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in had a damp smell and overlooked a lobby that was cluttered with cleaning supplies. It was a bit disappointing and didn't feel entirely welcoming.
Service
5.0
The reception staff couldn't speak English, which made it hard to address my concerns. They seemed nice enough, but communication was a significant hurdle.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated in a less-than-desirable area for solo travelers, though it's conveniently close to tourist spots like the Museums and Emerald markets.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was simple and filled with fewer options than I'd hoped for. I felt a bit rushed when I arrived close to the end time and faced an unfriendly reaction from the staff.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel has a lovely exterior, the inside could use some maintenance. Noise from staff and outside could be disruptive.

I had a delightful stay at this charming hotel located right in the heart of Bogota. The building had a lovely colonial style and offered a spacious atmosphere that made my stay enjoyable. While the immediate surroundings were a bit rundown, I felt safe walking around day and night. The breakfast was simple but of good quality, and the massages were absolutely fantastic. However, the lack of a lift and some noise from the street could be off-putting for some guests.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was large and airy, which was quite nice. However, it faced the street, and I found it a bit noisy at times.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent, with the staff being incredibly friendly and helpful. They even arranged transportation for me, which was very convenient.
Location
7.0
The location was excellent for exploring Bogota, as I was within walking distance of many main attractions, even though the immediate area felt a bit rough at night.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast was quite basic and repetitive, but the quality of food was good. I appreciated the fresh juices and fruits.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel features a nice internal courtyard, which was a pleasant place to relax. Unfortunately, there was no pool or fitness center.

The hotel has a lovely ambiance with lots of plants and is very clean inside. It's conveniently located near the colorful streets of La Candelaria and just a short walk to the Gold Museum. However, light sleepers might struggle with external noise, and some staff members were not very helpful, especially if you don't speak Spanish.

Rooms
8.0
My room was tidy and comfortable, but I could hear everything happening outside.
Service
6.0
The staff wasn't particularly attentive and could be quite loud at times.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in a great location, very close to La Candelaria and the Gold Museum, but I felt a bit uneasy walking around the area at night.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was simple but tasty, featuring juice, fresh fruits, and eggs.
Facilities

The hotel has a charming interior with lots of plants but lacks some modern amenities.
